A Little More About Me

Whether it’s to overcome trauma, relieve physiological response from accumulated stress and emotion, explore deeper aspects of your being, or simply find solutions for better quality of life, I’m fully committed to being your partner in attaining the objective you seek.

I’ve had a life-long interest in psychology and how the mind works. Rooted in playing youth sports and later becoming an NCAA college baseball player, the mental aspects of athletics were intriguing and a metaphor for life. Most interesting were the road blocks and finding ways in which to navigate. In my professional life, in sales and then later in corporate management, aspiring to lead and motivate others became key priorities. Even more recently, a six year stint as a police officer allowed me to gather much insight into the psychology of extreme emotion. Successfully managing intense scenes through the practice of de-escalation and active listening techniques, I witnessed, first-hand, the mental health crisis in our community and the shortage of available and effective resources.

I came to pursue my initial interest in hypnosis through a friend who was training in breathwork. It provided me the opportunity to experience direct access to my subconscious mind and how it was so magically plugged into my physical body.  I was already familiar with hypnosis being a powerful change agent for the subconscious mind. To further this knowledge, my education in the modality of hypnosis has been enriching and enlightening. It has allowed me to address past traumas, moderate emotions, belief systems and behaviors that were no longer serving me as an adult. This profound experience, growth and evolution is a part of me that I would like to gift to you as my client.

• Board Certified (International Association of Interpersonal Hypnotherapists)  

• Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist. Graduate of the Institute of Interpersonal Hypnotherapy (Tampa, FL.). IIH is the only hypnotherapy school licensed by the Florida Department of Education.

• My training includes varying aspects of the modality, including Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), modified Gestalt therapy, breath work, eye movement therapy (EMT), regression therapy and the utilization of hypnosis in medical settings, including application for pain management, child birth and preparation for surgery. With certification in Transpersonal Hypnotherapy, my skillset also expands into past life regression, life-between-life regression and other esoteric applications.

• Former deputy with the Collier County Sheriff’s Office. Assigned to road patrol and Special Enforcement Team in District 2 (Golden Gate City) where I worked exclusively on night shift. Field Training Officer and instructor for driving and active shooter training. Elected President of my police academy class in 2014.

• Alumnus of Leadership Collier, Class of 2011 and Vice-Chair of 2013 class.

• Volunteer at Collier County Public Schools (Aubrey Rogers High School) assisting with entrepreneurship curriculum since 2013.

• Served three years on the board for the PACE Center for Girls (Collier/Immokalee).

• Married to my best friend and the love of my life, B.A. Crisp. I have three adult daughters, three adult sons and five grandchildren.
